O Verbo To Be
O verbo to be corresponde a "ser" e "estar" e é o verbo mais frequente da língua inglesa.
No presente, tem três formas: am (I), is (he, she, it) e are (you, we, they).
I am a student. She is tired. They are at home.
Negativa e Interrogativa
O to be dispensa auxiliar: a negativa se faz acrescentando not logo depois do verbo.
I am not ready. He is not here. As contrações isn't e aren't são usuais na fala.
A interrogativa inverte verbo e sujeito: Are you ready? Is she a teacher?
