A igualdade se expressa com a estrutura as + adjetivo + as: She is as tall as her sister.

Na forma negativa, indica inferioridade: He is not as fast as you.

A inferioridade direta usa less ... than: This film is less interesting than the book, construção menos frequente na fala que a negativa com as.

Estruturas Especiais

A repetição do comparativo indica progressão contínua: The weather is getting colder and colder.

A estrutura the + comparativo, the + comparativo indica proporção: The more you practise, the better you get.

Com much, far ou a lot, reforça-se a diferença: This one is much cheaper.
