One e Ones
Para evitar repetição de um substantivo contável já mencionado, usa-se one no singular e ones no plural.
I don't like the red shirt; I prefer the blue one.
These apples are fresh; those ones are not.
Other e Another
Another corresponde a "outro" indefinido no singular: Would you like another cup?
Other acompanha plurais ou incontáveis: other people, other information.
The other indica o restante específico: the other side of the street.
Both, All e None
Both abrange dois elementos; all, três ou mais; none nega todos.
Diante de pronome, acrescenta-se of: both of us, all of them, none of you.
Diante de substantivo com determinante, of é opcional: all (of) the students.
