Mudança de Coordenadas em Integrais Triplas

Para integrais triplas, o Jacobiano também facilita a mudança de coordenadas.

Considere a mudança de coordenadas cartesianas (x, y, z) para coordenadas cilíndricas (r, θ, z):

    x = r.cos(θ)

    y = r.sen(θ)

    z = z

O Jacobiano será este apresentado logo abaixo:

$$ \begin{bmatrix} \frac{\partial x}{\partial r} & \frac{\partial x}{\partial \theta} & \frac{\partial x}{\partial z} \\ \frac{\partial y}{\partial r} & \frac{\partial y}{\partial \theta} & \frac{\partial y}{\partial z} \\ \frac{\partial z}{\partial r} & \frac{\partial z}{\partial \theta} & \frac{\partial z}{\partial z} \end{bmatrix} $$

$$ = \begin{bmatrix} \cos(\theta) & -r\sin(\theta) & 0 \\ \sin(\theta) & r\cos(\theta) & 0 \\ 0 & 0 & 1 \end{bmatrix} $$

E o determinante do Jacobiano aqui é |J| = r.

Portanto, a integral tripla em coordenadas cilíndricas é:

$$ \iiint_V f(x, y, z) \,dx\,dy\,dz $$

$$ \iiint_V f(r\cos\theta, r\sin\theta, z) \,r \,dr\,d\theta\,dz $$
